The process of cosmetic tattooing
Cosmetic tattooing, also known as semi-permanent makeup is an art which produces designs that resemble makeup. (Eyebrows, Lip Colour.)It involves tattooing pigment into the upper layers of the skin using a hand held machine and disposable needle configuration.
Your initial session - We allow 2hours for this appointment. In this time we do a full consultation and discussion about what your desired results are and the best option to take. We then do a brow (or lip) design and mapping. Once the mapping is laid out you get to have a look and voice your thoughts and we can make any changes if needed. We then discuss colour and custom blend a pigment specifically to suit your skin tone and natural colourings. We then begin the tattooing process, a strong topical numbing agent is applied and minimal discomfort is felt, many clients do drift off to sleep. Once the tattooing is complete we talk though aftercare and send you home with the products you need to care for your new cosmetic tattoo for the next 7-10 days.
Cosmetic tattooing is always recommended a TWO part process for optimum results. A second session is advised 4-6weeks after the initial treatment.
After that clients normally return every 1-3 years for a colour boost as the colour will begin to fade and full over time.
